WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy is a type of complimentary therapy that uses hypnosis, which is an altered state of awareness to talk the subconscious mind..


Hypnotherapy is a type of complementary medicine in which hypnosis is used to create a state of focused attention and increased suggestibility during which positive suggestions and guided imagery are used to help individuals deal with a variety of concerns and issues. Wikipedia


Unlike stage or TV Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, utilises the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you explore your limiting belifes  more deeply. You will be guided by the hypnotherapist to visualise yourself in a state of peacefulness and relaxation, even when confronting the object of your fears.


WHAT HAPPENS IN A HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION?


As there are different types of hypnotherapy, and different ways of hypnotising someone. First, we will have a chat to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree what methods we will use.


After this.. I will lead you into a deeply relaxed state, use your agreed methods to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit and gradually bring you out of the trance.

You're fully in control when under hypnosis and you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state.


*Hypnosis doesn't work if you don't want to be hypnotised.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The number of sessions required will vary from person to person, however, the majority of people feel benefit from hypnotherapy immediately. Depending on the treatment plan, personalised  hypnosis recordings may be provided for your continued use at home for re-enforcement of the new positive behaviour and you will be advised on how and when to use them as part of your aftercare package.



All consultations and therapies will start with an initial question and answer session either in person or over the phone, where you can gain a greater understanding of the treatments available.
